Abstract

Livestream sales of “homemade” food have grown rapidly on digital platforms, yet they entail significant risks to consumer rights, particularly regarding product quality, food safety, and sellers’ obligations to provide accurate and sufficient information. This article analyzes consumer protection mechanisms applicable to purchases of “homemade” food, with a focus on the 2023 Law on Protection of Consumers’ Rights and related legal provisions. On that basis, the study proposes several recommendations to strengthen enforcement and improve the effectiveness of consumer protection in the digital commerce environment.
