Abstract

In the current context of digital transformation, the rapid expansion of social media has significantly increased high school students’ engagement in cyberspace, while simultaneously giving rise to various risks of inappropriate online behaviors, including cyberbullying, the dissemination of misinformation, aggressive language, and violations of privacy. Consequently, educating appropriate online behavioral conduct has become an urgent imperative, requiring schools and teachers to develop and apply a coherent system of educational skills. This article systematizes the theoretical foundations of skills for educating online behavioral conduct among high school students, focusing on clarifying core concepts, reviewing foundational theoretical approaches, analyzing the structural components of educational skills, and identifying influencing factors originating from students, families, schools, as well as the media and policy environment. The findings provide a scientific basis for organizing the education of responsible and civil online conduct within contemporary school settings.
