Abstract

This article examines the Party’s leadership in science and technology development over 40 years of Đổi mới (Renovation, 1986–2026). It traces the evolution of policy from prioritizing the application and development of information technology to support the adoption of electronic systems and computerization across the national economy to promoting industrialization and modernization grounded in science, technology, innovation, and accelerated digital transformation. These policy directions provide a decisive foundation for sustainable national development in the context of international integration.
