Abstract

Problem-based learning is recognized as one of the most effective active teaching methods, promoting the development of learners' critical thinking and the strong activation of their creative learning activities. Based on an examination of the concept and levels of problem-based learning, this article proposes fundamental teaching principles, outlines requirements for designing problem situations in the teaching of reading comprehension of literary works, and introduces a teaching process that employs problem-based learning methods. The aim is to develop literature competency among junior high school students in Hai Duong city.
