Abstract
In the context of digital transformation and international integration, English-major students and lecturers at Electric Power University have greater access to a wide range of academic materials in cyberspace. However, the digital academic environment also poses risks of spreading misleading information, distorted historical views, and content denying the leadership role of the Party and the State. This paper analyzes the current situation of academic material selection among English-major students and identifies potential risks of cognitive deviation when approaching foreign sources. Based on these findings, the study proposes several solutions to improve students’ ability to evaluate and select academic materials, thereby contributing to the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in higher education during the digital era.
