Abstract
In the context of implementing the 2018 General Education Curriculum, developing student competencies— particularly digital competence—has become a core objective of mathematics instruction in primary schools. This article clarifies the concept of digital competence in primary school students, analyzes the current situation of mathematics teaching, and proposes several instructional approaches oriented toward developing this competence. The findings indicate that innovative teaching methods that emphasize experiential learning, problem solving, cooperative learning, and the integration of information technology contribute significantly to improving mathematics learning outcomes and fostering digital competence among primary school students.
