Abstract

Teaching political theory courses plays an important role in fostering political awareness among students. However, current practices have several shortcomings, including unengaging teaching methods, limited diversity in assessment formats, and inadequate professional qualifications among some lecturers. Many students are indifferent to political and social issues, lack political commitment, and show signs of becoming detached from the Party’s goals and ideals. Accordingly, this article proposes several solutions to strengthen the role of political theory instruction in fostering students’ political awareness, thereby helping to improve the quality of higher education and establish a solid ideological foundation for the younger generation in Vietnam’s current process of socialist construction.
