Abstract
Go Thap (Dong Thap) is a key center of the Oc Eo culture, linked to a small polity under the Kingdom of Funan that existed in Southern Vietnam over 1,500 years ago. Archaeological remains at the site clearly demonstrate the religious beliefs, production technologies, and social organization of ancient communities. This paper examines three major cultural values religion, material heritage, and the potential for cultural tourism and compares them with Cham culture to highlight Gò Tháp’s unique identity and inform strategies for heritage preservation in the context of global integration.
Keywords: Values, Oc Eo culture, Go Thap, Southern Vietnam’s cultural heritage.
