Abstract
Vietnamese water puppetry is a traditional performing art that emerged from the agricultural communities of the Red River Delta. Beyond fulfilling needs for entertainment and aesthetic enjoyment, its performance narratives convey profound educational values, including love for the homeland, dedication to labor, the cultivation of moral character, and a strong spirit of solidarity and community cohesion. This article analyzes the educational values embedded in Vietnamese water puppetry, thereby highlighting the role of this traditional performing art in preserving, reinforcing, and promoting cultural identity and positive cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
