Abstract

This paper examines the theoretical background and current status of digital competence among students at Tan Trao University in the context of higher education digital transformation. Based on survey data, the findings indicate that students have initially developed basic digital skills; however, limitations remain in areas such as information security, data protection, and self-directed technological learning. Accordingly, the study proposes a system of solutions to enhance students’ digital competence, including developing assessment criteria, integrating digital competence into training programs, organizing training and digital experiential activities, and building a digital learning ecosystem within the university. The findings contribute to providing a scientific basis for improving training quality and developing human resources in the digital era.
