Abstract

STEM education is defined as an integrated interdisciplinary teaching model aimed at developing primary school students' ability to apply knowledge to solve practical problems. This article focuses on presenting the theoretical and practical basis for implementing STEM education in the Natural and Social Sciences subject at schools according to the 2018 General Education Program. Through this article, the author also proposes a five-stage process for organizing experiential activities: problem identification, background knowledge gathering, solution selection, fabrication and testing, and presentation and evaluation. This process is suitable for the psychological characteristics of the age group, linked to the main curriculum content, and uses simple, readily available materials.
