Abstract

The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) has been considered as an effective teaching strategy for communicative speaking instruction. This approach has been applied worldwide for EFL classes as well as K-12 education, and receives many positive feedbacks. This article is carried out in order to evaluate the effectiveness of applying CLT in teaching speaking skills for English non-majored students at Hanoi Univeristy of Science and Teachnology. The findings have shown that most of students agree on the positive impacts of CLT as well as its high applicability in higher education.
