Abstract
In the context of increasing environmental degradation and the urgent need for sustainable development, green transformation has become an inevitable trend in the global economy. In Vietnam, Resolution 68-NQ/TW issued by the Politburo on May 4, 2025, identifies green credit as a key tool to mitigate financial risks and promote sustainable development. This article analyzes the operating principles of green credit in Vietnam, evaluates the current legal framework, and assesses the implementation of green credit development. Drawing on previous studies and comparing green finance models between Vietnam, the European Union (EU), and China, the article proposes solutions to improve the legal system, align with international standards, and create momentum for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s green finance market.
