Abstract

This article systematically studies the provisions of the Vietnamese criminal procedure law regarding the authority to request valuation of wildlife assets as stipulated in the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code and its implementing guidelines. Based on an analysis of the current legal framework, the article assesses the practical application, identifies shortcomings, and proposes recommendations for improvement, clarifying the scope and procedures for requesting a valuation to enhance the effectiveness of valuation activities and ensure evidentiary value in resolving criminal cases involving wildlife.
