Abstract

The preschool education program is a flexible, open framework based on a comprehensive educational renewal approach that places children at the center. When developing content for introducing literature, preschool teachers need to follow the Ministry of Education and Training’s framework program, take into account children’s psychological characteristics and local conditions, and select appropriate works to support children’s holistic development in personality, intellect, and aesthetic appreciation. Selecting engaging stories and poems helps children develop language skills, nurture their emotions, stimulate imagination, and foster moral education and life skills. Therefore, choosing valuable and age-appropriate literary works for preschoolers to become familiar with is both a fundamental professional principle and an essential skill that every preschool teacher should pay attention to and continuously practice.
