Abstract
This study examines the theoretical, curricular, and legal foundations for integrating the heritage values of the space of gong culture in Vietnam’s Central Highlands into experiential activities for primary school students. Through a review of relevant documents, analysis, synthesis, and systematization, it identifies four core categories of heritage values: history and cultural identity; art, aesthetics, and creativity; community and social life; and spiritual beliefs, views on human life, and relationships with nature. The study then examines the educational significance of these values, proposes a six-step process for designing experiential activities, and illustrates its application through the theme “Echoes of the Great Forest” for Grade 4 students.
Keywords: Central Highlands gongs, cultural space, cultural values, experiential activities, heritage education, primary school students.
