Abstract

Throughout the development of Vietnam’s revolutionary press, publications for women have played a particularly important role in propaganda, education, and mass mobilization. Việt Nam Phụ nữ (Vietnamese Women) was among the newspapers published during the early stages of the resistance war against French colonial rule. This study examines the circumstances surrounding the newspaper’s establishment, its format and content, and its significance and value for the development of the revolutionary press and the Vietnamese women’s movement.
