Abstract

In the context of increasing global hunger and food insecurity, ensuring food security has become a pressing global challenge, significantly influenced by economic crises, armed conflicts, and climate change. Notably, the Russia–Ukraine conflict has disrupted global food supply chains, driven up food prices, and severely affected countries dependent on food imports. In response, the international community has strengthened cooperation and developed legal frameworks aimed at promoting sustainable food security. This article analyzes the international legal framework on ensuring food security from the perspectives of human rights law and international humanitarian law in armed conflict. On that basis, it proposes several policy implications relevant to Vietnam.

Keywords: Armed conflict, food security, right to food.
