Abstract
Using a qualitative research approach based on a synthesis of secondary sources, this article examines experiences in implementing preferential credit policies for poverty reduction in several localities and draws relevant lessons for Dak Lak Province. The findings indicate that the experiences of Son La, Lam Dong, and Vinh Long provinces offer valuable lessons for Dak Lak, including maintaining accessible policy credit networks at the community level, increasing the mobilization of entrusted funds from local government budgets, improving the operational effectiveness of Savings and Credit Groups, and aligning loans with the specific livelihood conditions of different household groups and residential areas. Based on these findings, the article proposes several lessons to help Dak Lak Province bridge the gap between policy objectives and available resources, reduce disparities in poverty rates between ethnic minority communities and the provincial population as a whole, and contribute to sustainable poverty reduction.
