Abstract
Technology has become an integral part in language teaching and learning in general and English language teaching and learning in specific. Accordingly, the use of technology enhanced language learning tools in English language learning has become common as they can improve the knowledge retention and increase engagement. The study aims at unravelling the employment of technology enhanced language learning tool based English vocabulary learning strategies among non-English majored students at Electric Power University. It is undeniable that vocabulary is the core of language. Without adequate vocabulary repertoire, communication cannot occur successfully. Employing subtitled videos to enhance learners’ vocabulary was taken into consideration in effort to find out a solution of the problem. This study aimed to investigate the impact of subtitled clips on English vocabulary learning.
