Abstract

The article is devoted to enhancing the effectiveness of English vocabulary acquisition for non-English major students at Hai Phong University, particularly in economics. Given the challenges that these students face, such as limited exposure to specialized vocabulary and a lack of practical application, the study evaluates different pedagogical approaches to improve learning outcomes. The article examines methods including communicative language teaching, contextual learning, and the use of technology in vocabulary instruction. The findings suggest that a combination of interactive teaching strategies and real-world applications significantly enhances students' retention and comprehension of economic terms. The study provides recommendations for educators to implement more effective vocabulary teaching techniques, ultimately improving students' English proficiency in their specialized field.
