Abstract
Drug abuse is considered one of the most serious threats to human security. The fight against drug-related crimes has become a global issue and has been included on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council. In Vietnam, drug crimes have been rising at an exponential rate and have become a national crisis. Therefore, proactively preventing crime—including drug-related offenses—is both a strategic policy and an urgent requirement of the Party and the State. The objective is to minimize harm, prevent escalation, and gradually eliminate this type of crime. This article proposes several solutions to enhance the effectiveness of drug crime prevention in the current context.
