Abstract

This paper examines the current application of group discussion methods in teaching Ho Chi Minh Thought at the People’s Police Academy and proposes solutions to improve effectiveness. Survey findings indicate that group discussions contribute to developing learners’ critical thinking, research capacity, and teamwork skills, but limitations remain in content design, organization, and assessment. The article recommends enhancing lecturers’ capacity, designing practice-oriented discussion content, organizing discussions in a structured manner, innovating assessment methods, and integrating information technology into teaching. The findings provide reference value for reforming teaching methods in political theory education at the academy.
