Abstract

Pedagogical competency training is a fundamental and essential component that determines the overall quality of teacher education programs. This article explores what pedagogical competency training entails, how it is implemented at Tan Trao University, and which measures have been adopted to improve its effectiveness. The paper identifies factors influencing the quality of pedagogical training and analyzes challenges that affect students’ skill development. Based on these findings, a number of solutions are proposed to enhance the effectiveness of pedagogical competency training for pre-service teachers in general, and for Early Childhood Education majors at Tan Trao University in particular.
