Abstract
Competence in teaching injury prevention skills through simulation-based experiences is essential for preschool education students to promote children’s safety. This study examines this competence among preschool education students at Tay Nguyen University, focusing on four components: awareness, design, implementation, and evaluation. Overall competence was rated as good. The awareness and design components were rated as good, whereas implementation and evaluation were rated as satisfactory. The main limitations concerned designing simulation scenarios, responding to unexpected situations, and evaluating educational outcomes. These findings provide an empirical basis for developing this competence in preschool teacher education.
