Abstract

This study identifies the factors affecting the graduation timelines of English Language students at Dong Thap University. Data were collected from 100 students using a questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. Cronbach’s alpha reliability testing and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) indicated that all measurement scales demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity. Descriptive statistical results showed that four groups of factors—personal, familial, institutional, and social—influenced students’ graduation timelines. Family-related factors were perceived as having the greatest influence, followed by social, institutional, and personal factors. Based on these findings, the study proposes several recommendations involving families, the university, students, and the broader social environment to support timely graduation and improve educational outcomes.
