Abstract
In the context of international integration and digital transformation, students in the Metal Cutting field need to be equipped with vocational English competencies to meet the requirements of the labor market. This article presents the findings of an experimental study examining the effectiveness of a vocationally oriented English teaching approach for Metal Cutting students at a vocational education institution. The study involved 54 students, including an experimental group of 31 and a control group of 23, over the course of one academic semester. Results show that the experimental group achieved significantly greater improvement in professional listening–speaking skills, technical vocabulary acquisition, and learning attitudes compared to the control group. The study provides empirical evidence supporting the innovation of English teaching methods in vocational education.
