Abstract

This study examined the use of smart wearables to monitor and regulate heart rate during endurance running training among students at Hanoi Metropolitan University. An educational experiment incorporating the Karvonen formula was used to develop a training protocol guided by real-time heart rate feedback. The experimental group showed statistically significant improvements in running performance (p < 0.05), shorter recovery times, and a reduced risk of physiological overload. These findings support the use of digital technology to individualize training loads and improve physical education teaching and learning.
