Abstract

The classification and selection of General Chemistry exercises for grade 10 aim to meet the requirements of innovating teaching and exam preparation aligned with the 2018 General Education Curriculum. The focus is on developing students’ competencies through a variety of exercise types differentiated by cognitive levels and competency goals. Grade 10 General Chemistry exercises are organized according to major content themes - atomic structure, periodic table of chemical elements, chemical bonding, oxidation–reduction reactions, chemical energy, and reaction rates. The article provides solution methods, sample exercises with detailed guidance, and key points for students to consider when solving problems. These approaches help foster students’ interest in learning while improving the overall quality of teaching and learning.
