Abstract

The digital transformation of the People’s Courts requires a unified, secure, efficient, and interoperable data infrastructure that facilitates information sharing among agencies within the judicial system. In this context, data law provides an essential legal foundation for the creation, governance, use, and protection of judicial data in support of adjudication and court administration. This article analyzes and evaluates the current legal framework governing data in the digital transformation of the People’s Courts. It identifies the achievements and limitations of this framework and proposes several recommendations for its improvement. These recommendations aim to strengthen the role of judicial data in digital transformation, support the development of e-courts, enhance the effectiveness of judicial operations, and meet the requirements of judicial reform in Vietnam.
