Abstract

As environmental pollution and carbon emissions become increasingly serious global threats, reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a major priority for many countries, including Vietnam. Intellectual property (IP) serves as an important instrument for promoting green technology development and facilitating the transfer of emission-reduction solutions. This article analyzes Vietnam’s current intellectual property laws relating to carbon emission reduction and identifies relevant limitations. It then proposes recommendations for improving the legal framework, encouraging the development, transfer, and application of green technologies, and contributing to environmental sustainability.
