Abstract

The creation and dissemination of fake news in cyberspace have increasingly proliferated and generated serious consequences for social life. This article evaluates the current legal framework of Vietnam governing the handling of acts involving the creation and dissemination of fake news. Based on this assessment, it proposes recommendations aimed at strengthening deterrence, enhancing transparency, and ensuring the suitability of legal regulations to the specific characteristics of the online environment. The ultimate objective is to contribute to the establishment of a safe, healthy, and responsible information environment in the context of digital societal development.
