Abstract

This article analyzes the role of academic advisors in career orientation for Chinese Language major students at Lang Son College in the context of vocational education reform aligned with labor market demands. Based on a systematization of the theoretical foundations of academic advising and career orientation, the study examines the current state of career guidance through academic advising activities at the college, highlighting both achievements and existing limitations. On that basis, the author proposes several solutions, including integrating academic advising with practical experience, linking entrepreneurship activities with career orientation, strengthening coordination in job placement support, and applying digital technology in academic advising. These measures are expected to contribute to improving training quality and meeting local workforce demands more effectively.
