Abstract

Amid rapid, complex, and unpredictable global and domestic developments, hostile forces have intensified their activities against the Party, the State, and the Vietnamese people, particularly in the field of education. This situation highlights the urgent need to strengthen the role of lecturers in general and university lecturers in particular in safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation. This article outlines the methods employed by hostile forces to undermine higher education and proposes solutions to enhance the pioneering role of university lecturers in firmly safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation in the new era. These solutions include thoroughly implementing the Party’s directives and resolutions; continuously improving lecturers’ professional competence, particularly in teaching and research; strengthening training and retraining in information technology and digital skills; and further promoting lecturers’ leadership in guiding teaching and learning content.
