Abstract

This article examines the role of Vietnamese family education in fostering creative thinking among young people in the context of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Drawing on dialectical materialism, document analysis, and comparative methods, the study identifies five key functions of family education: providing psychological safety, stimulating curiosity, developing independent and critical thinking, fostering self-directed learning and aspirations to contribute, and guiding creativity through appropriate values. It also highlights major constraints, including excessive emphasis on academic achievement, authoritarian parenting, and declining parent–child interaction in the digital environment. Accordingly, six groups of solutions are proposed in connection with the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress. The findings provide theoretical and policy implications for strengthening the family as the primary environment for nurturing creativity among Vietnamese youth.
