Abstract

Teaching towards competency development places learners at the center of the teaching process, focusing on the outcomes that students will achieve. By clarifying some issues related to learning competencies and based on the practical teaching of Marxist-Leninist political economy, this paper proposes several requirements for developing students learning competencies in the subject. In particular, each lecturer should enhance the use of active teaching methods and techniques, design practical and relevant teaching topics/content, and diversify exercises to create a learning environment that allows students to develop their competencies. This approach is essential in teaching Marxist-Leninist political economy today.
