Abstract
Đầm Street, an ancient commercial town in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, was once a busy and diverse trade hub in the early 20th century. This study combines historical, geographical, and cultural data to analyze the formation, development, and socio-economic significance of Đầm Street and Đầm Market within the feudal and colonial historical contexts. Additionally, the paper highlights the material and spiritual cultural traits of the area while evaluating the current state of its historic architecture and urban changes over time. The results show that Đầm Street is a prime example of cultural convergence, regional river trade along the Chu River, and the modern challenges of preserving Vietnam’s traditional urban heritage.
