Abstract
The digital era has expanded opportunities for the exercise of human rights while simultaneously creating new risks associated with personal data processing, platform governance, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. This article examines Vietnam’s political and legal foundations and its current legal framework governing privacy, personal safety, labor rights in the platform economy, equitable access to technology, and protection against discrimination in AI systems. The findings indicate that although the legal framework has developed rapidly, it remains fragmented and lacks adequate provisions on algorithmic accountability and effective remedies. On this basis, the article proposes five groups of legislative and institutional recommendations to strengthen the protection of human rights in the digital space.
Keywords: Artificial intelligence, digital space, human rights, personal data, platform work.
