Abstract

Vietnamese studies constitute one of the longstanding fields of research in Russia. Research institutes, universities, and academies have conducted in-depth studies on Vietnamese culture, politics, history, and language. A substantial body of scholarly output, including numerous research works, hundreds of articles, books, and monographs in the field of Vietnamese studies, has been published. Research on Vietnam has been closely associated with the needs of the Russian state in advancing political, economic, and scientific relations. This article provides a brief overview of the development of Vietnamese studies in Russia and highlights the major achievements attained by Russian scholars in this field in recent years.
