Abstract
This study examines the urgent need for a coordinated approach to strengthening moral education in Sa Đéc Ward, Đồng Tháp Province. Using a mixed-methods design, it analyzes survey data from 450 participants to assess students’ perceptions and current educational practices. The findings indicate that students have a relatively sound theoretical understanding of traditional moral values. However, their motivation to learn is largely instrumental, and their moral understanding does not consistently translate into personal convictions or everyday behavior. The findings also reveal substantially weakened coordination between families and schools, contributing to fragmented moral education across the two settings. To address these issues, the study proposes practical measures to expand experiential learning, strengthen institutional mechanisms for family–school collaboration, promote youth participation, and support the development of students’ competence in ethical conduct in digital environments.
