Abstract
The recovery of corruption-related assets is a matter of significant concern to the Party, the State, and society as a whole. Despite notable achievements in recent years, asset recovery efforts still face various shortcomings and limitations. This article analyzes current legal regulations on the recovery of corruption-related assets, examines the practical implementation in Vietnam, and proposes solutions to enhance effectiveness in the coming period. As methods of concealing and dissipating illicit assets become increasingly sophisticated, it is essential to ensure recovery mechanisms that are effective, timely, and feasible. Strengthening the legal framework, improving inter- agency coordination, and enhancing the capacity for asset tracing and freezing are decisive factors in reducing losses and reinforcing deterrence. These efforts contribute to protecting public assets, increasing state budget revenue, and strengthening public confidence in anti-corruption initiatives.
