Abstract

This study investigates teachers’ skills in organizing experimental activities for 5-6-year-old children in science exploration at Hoa Pơ Lang, Hoa Hồng, and Tân Thành preschools in Buon Ma Thuot Ward, Dak Lak Province. Participants included 20 teachers directly teaching 5-6-year-old children and six educational administrators. The study employed document analysis and synthesis, observation, interviews, questionnaire surveys, and mathematical statistics. The findings indicate that teachers’ experiment organization skills were at an average level. They performed relatively well in planning and preparing experiments but encountered difficulties in guiding children’s exploration, facilitating discussion, and evaluating experimental results. The study also identifies factors influencing these skills and proposes measures to improve the effectiveness of science exploration activities in preschool education.
