Abstract
Ho Chi Minh City is one of Vietnam’s leading centers for fine arts and the art market. The 30th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition in 2026 was a major annual fine arts event that also commemorated the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day on September 2 and celebrated the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. The exhibition encompassed several regions: Hanoi; the Red River Delta; the Northwest and Viet Bac; the North Central Coast; the South Central Coast and Central Highlands; Ho Chi Minh City; the Mekong Delta; and the southern provinces and cities. The Region VI exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City was held in August 2026 by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. It featured 121 works by 104 artists, created between approximately 2024 and 2026, including several works completed during field trips organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. This article discusses current trends in artistic creation, materials, technologies, techniques, and society’s evolving aesthetic needs.
