Abstract
People’s Public Security martial arts plays an important role in physical training, combat readiness, and law enforcement. Developing general physical fitness (GPF) and specialized physical fitness (SPF) is essential for improving the quality of martial arts training. This study assessed the physical fitness of male cadets at the Academy of Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue and selected 12 highly reliable tests to establish a standardized assessment system. A 21-day pedagogical experiment involving 30 male cadets—15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group—examined the effects of a newly selected exercise system. The experimental group demonstrated statistically significant improvements (p < 0.05; tcalculated > ttable = 1.96). The findings confirm the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed exercise system in improving cadets’ physical fitness.
