Abstract
Falling techniques constitute a fundamental component of People’s Public Security martial arts training, particularly for cadets at the People’s Police Academy. Proper execution enables cadets to protect themselves when losing balance, sustaining an impact, or performing movement, defensive, restraint, and takedown techniques. However, if falling techniques are not practiced regularly, methodically, and in accordance with learners’ characteristics, their practical effectiveness may be limited and the risk of training-related injuries may increase. Accordingly, this article examines the application of selected falling techniques and recommends appropriate training methods to improve the quality of martial arts instruction and cadets’ ability to apply these techniques in professional practice.
