Abstract

Digital transformation in judicial activities in general, and in the coordination of criminal investigations in particular, has become an inevitable trend, contributing to greater transparency, efficiency, and accountability among procedural authorities. However, current implementation in Vietnam faces several systemic challenges, including unsynchronized technical infrastructure, the absence of a comprehensive legal framework governing the validity of electronic evidence, uneven digital capacity among officials, and especially fragmented inter- agency data-sharing mechanisms. This article analyzes these difficulties and bottlenecks in the coordination between investigative authorities and procuracies. On that basis, it proposes a comprehensive and feasible set of solutions, including completing the legal framework for electronic procedures, standardizing technological infrastructure, enhancing the digital capacity of investigators and procurators, building an effective inter-agency data connectivity mechanism, and strengthening the monitoring and evaluation of digital transformation during criminal investigations.
