Abstract

In the context of digital transformation as an inevitable trend in Vietnamese education, developing and using electronic learning materials is considered an important solution to improve teaching quality, particularly for Local Education content. In Lam Dong Province, teaching Local Education in Grade 10 remains constrained due to the limited availability of interactive electronic materials that can effectively support instruction in a region- specific subject. This study investigates the current use of electronic learning materials by Grade 10 teachers and students and, based on the findings, pilots an interactive web-based repository of Local Education electronic materials for Lam Dong. The repository is organized into five themes aligned with the Grade 10 Local Education curriculum and integrates multimedia resources (images, videos, and audio), virtual reality experiences (VR 360°), and online quizzes. Pilot implementation feedback indicates that the repository enhances visualisation, supports students’ self-directed learning, and strengthens connections between knowledge and local realities. The results provide a basis for proposing province-wide scaling of a shared electronic material repository to promote sustainable digital education aligned with regional characteristics. The study also recommends solutions related to technological infrastructure and professional development to strengthen teachers’ capacity to design and use electronic learning materials, thereby meeting current competency- and quality-oriented educational requirements.
