Abstract

This paper examines the development of a digital competence framework for preschool teachers to meet the requirements of digital transformation and the integration of AI into children’s play-based activities. Through expert analysis, the author proposes a framework consisting of five pillars: digital ethics, AI-based learning material creation, technology application (AI, AR/VR), digital safety, and professional development. While emphasizing the supportive role of AI, the study affirms that pedagogical methods and human interaction remain decisive factors in educational quality. These findings provide a basis for teacher education institutions to innovate their training programs and recommend that the Ministry of Education and Training issue specific digital competence standards for early childhood education.
