Abstract
This study develops and provides an initial evaluation of a Reggio Emilia-based science exploration environment for preschool children aged 5–6 at Cau Quan Private Preschool, Tan Hoa Commune, Vinh Long Province. Thirty children from Lá 1 Class were observed to document their participation during the implementation and adjustment of the environment. The study focused on organizing an open learning space, providing diverse learning materials, arranging appropriate resources, and documenting children’s exploration processes. The initial findings indicate that the environment supported children in selecting and interacting with materials, conducting experiments, exchanging ideas, and expressing their exploration outcomes. As the study was conducted at a single educational institution, its findings are primarily descriptive and provide a reference for the continued development of science exploration environments in early childhood education.
