Abstract

Global population aging and rising life expectancy are profoundly reshaping labor-force structures in many countries. The declining supply of younger workers, coupled with growing financial pressure on social security systems, has compelled governments to shift from passive policies to active employment strategies that harness and promote the capabilities of older workers. This article examines selected international experiences in securing employment for older workers and draws practical policy lessons for Vietnam, a country undergoing a rapid transition toward an aging society.

Keywords: Employment, older workers, population aging.
